AT&T Wireless is the second largest wireless telecommunication carrier in the United States after Verizon. The most recent numbers suggest the fact that AT&T has reached 95.5 million subscribers, but it still has not managed to beat its main competition, Verizon that reached 102.2 million subscribers. The company was founded in 2001 under the name of Cingular Wireless, but in 2007 changed its name in what we know today as AT&T Wireless.
AT&T is a GSM carrier that offers unlimited calling plans and it boasts with the fact that they have the fewest dropped calls of any carriers, relying on, what they claim to be, independent studies.
